Please bring the following with you:
- A valid passport (not copy)
- Glasses or contact lenses, if worn
- One passport size photograph
- Immunisation record, if available
Fees (including tax):
Age 15 and over……. ¥26,250
Age 2 to 14…….…… ¥17,850 (includes TB test)
Age under 2 …..….... ¥14,700
For children aged 2 to 14, please note that the TB test result will need to be read by the Clinic medical staff two to three days later, and, if it is positive, chest X-ray(s) will be required, at additional cost.
Immunisations (vaccinations):
US immigration regulations require applicants to have evidence of immunity against certain infectious diseases, according to age. If you bring a written record of immunisations or the results of laboratory tests for immunity, it may be possible to avoid having further injections, otherwise these can be given at the Clinic. Blood tests, at additional cost, can also be done to check for immunity. If these are performed the documents will not be ready until the results are to hand, which may take up to one week.
Consistent with meeting the requirements of the US immigration regulations, the only vaccines given at the Tokyo British Clinic for US visa purposes are those which we consider safe, are routinely available in Japan, and are approved by the Japanese Ministry of Health.
These vaccines, with applicable ages and costs (plus tax), are as follows:

Results:
- Normal service. If all immunisation requirements are fulfilled on the day of the examination, the documents will be available for collection two working days later. In the case of children under 2, the documents will be available at the completion of the examination, without extra cost.
- Expedited service. For an additional ¥8,400 (including tax) the documents will be ready for collection approximately two hours after the appointment time. For children aged 2 to 14 who attend on a Friday or Saturday morning, on request the TB test will be read at 8.00 am the following Monday for this additional fee.
- Please note: if any abnormalities are found in the blood tests, the documentation may not be ready within the times stated above.
- Delivery service. On request, the completed documents and X-ray will be sent by delivery service (‘Takyubin’), at the applicant’s risk and cost, thus saving a further visit to the Clinic.
